This is my neice, Ella Mary Thompson. She and her twin sister, Sara will be 3 later this month. Tomorrow, Ella will have open heart surgery to repair a hole in her heart. The problem is that to repair the hole, two valves must be separated and reconstructed because they are intertwined. She and her mommy and daddy (my brother Todd) are in Boston right now, where the surgery will take place tomorrow. I was able to get to know Ella better this summer at the family reunion, and what a joy she is!! Such a happy, loving child. Best of luck, sweet little Ella!! **UPDATE: Due to someone else's medical emergency, Ella's surgery has been postponed to Saturday. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
